Bromo Ijen Baluran Tour From Surabaya 4D3N

SURABAYA – HOTEL IN MOUNT BROMO

Bromo Ijen tour and Baluran tour will start in Surabaya area (Hotel, Airport or Train Station). We will drive from Surabaya to Mount Bromo for ± 3 hours. You will stop for lunch at the local restaurant before your hotel in Mount Bromo area. Upon your arrival in Mount Bromo area, you will stay in Lava view lodge or similar hotel before you do Mount Bromo tour the next morning.

OPTIONAL PROGRAM:

If you can start in the morning & the weather is good enough, you will have a chance to visit Madakaripura Waterfall during the way from Surabaya to your hotel in Mount Bromo area. Please check the picture of Madakaripura waterfall in the Internet

MOUNT BROMO TOUR – HOTEL IN BANYUWANGI

Mount Bromo tour will start at 3.30 AM but when you come on the holiday season or weekend, you should start your tour earlier. Mount Bromo tour will start from your hotel by riding a jeep, the jeep will take us to the most favorable hill for enjoying the best sunrise in this place, Penanjakan Hill. We have to cross the sea of sand before we arrive onto the hill. It will take about 40 minutes’ drive. The sun will rise around 5.20 AM, so you still have time to wait for the sunrise while buying a cup of coffee or tea in the shop near the sunrise point. When the sun is rising, all people will yell to welcome the sun from the east. Besides the great sunrise with mountains as a background, you will see the beautiful scenery of  Mount Bromo, Batok and the highest volcano in Java, Mount Semeru. The best time to take a great photo of the view is around 5.50 – 6.10 AM.

After enjoying the great sunrise and beautiful scenery, you have to go back to the jeep then we will go back to the sea of sands where we can start to do the trekking to Mount Bromo. The jeep will stop in the parking place then we can start to walk up to the peak of Mount Bromo, the trekking will take about ±1,5 hours. If you feel tired, you can ride a horse, there are a lot of horses that are ready to be sent. Before you reach the top of Mount Bromo, you have to climb ±250 stairs, the stairs will lead you to the top of Mount Bromo when you have reached the top of the volcano, you will see the volcanic activity of Mount Bromo. You will hear the sound and smell the sulfuric gasses from the hole. After you enjoy the volcanic activity of Mount Bromo, you must go back to your jeep then drive to your hotel for having breakfast. Around 10.00 AM, you should be ready to continue our trip to your Hotel in Banyuwangi. The journey will take ± 5 hours by passing a rural landscape, villages, beach and rice fields. You will stop around Pasir Putih beach for your lunch stop. On the late afternoon, you will arrive at your hotel in Banyuwangi, you will stay in Ketapang Indah Hotel for your enjoyable stay before you do trekking in Ijen Crater tomorrow morning.

IJEN CRATER TOUR – HOTEL IN BANYUWANGI

Ijen Crater tour will start at 5:00 AM, the car will take you to Paltuding area (1850m), Paltuding is parking place where we park our car and it’s the starting point before we do the trekking to Ijen Crater (2386m). The journey from your hotel to Paltuding is ± an hour; upon your arrival in Paltuding, you should ready to start the trekking. The trekking will take ± 1, 5 hours to the top of Ijen Crater, it’s only 3 km away from Paltuding to the top of Ijen Crater. When you have reached the top of Ijen Crater, you will amaze at the scenery around Ijen Crater. it will welcome you with the biggest sulfuric lake and it has a beautiful turquoise color. it’s good if you can take a  great photo from the top of the crater. Besides the great landscape and surroundings, you will be surprised with to sulfur miners/workers who walk up and down with a heavy basket full of sulfur on their shoulders. They work in the sulfur mining point inside Ijen Crater, they have to walk for 800 m away with a rocky and slippery path and they only earn USD 8 per day, it depends on how many kgs of sulfur they can carry, bring more earn more.

After enjoying the view of ijen Crater, we will back to Paltuding then we will go to the plantations (coffee and clove) before going back to the Hotel. Upon your arrival at the hotel, you can rest and relax before you do Baluran National Park tour the next morning.

OPTIONAL PROGRAM:

If the weather is good enough and you have a good condition for trekking at night, you can take Ijen blue fire tour at Ijen Crater but you are required to leave the Hotel or Homestay around 01.00 AM or Midnight. Please check the picture of the blue fire at Ijen Crater on the Internet.

BALURAN NATIONAL PARK TOUR – HOTEL IN BALI AREA

Baluran tour will start at 6:00 am, our car will bring you to Baluran National Park in the northern town of Banyuwangi. It takes about an hour's drive to the entrance gate then driving into Baluran National Park for about an hour. Beginning the trip in this park you will enter an area called evergreen forest where the forest along this path is always green throughout the year. After driving 50 minutes leaving the forest, then you come to a vast field called Little Africa in Java. This vast savanna is a life of various types of mammals such as bulls, monkeys, a group of deer, wild buffaloes and many kinds of birds.

A viewing tower with a height of 7 meters will bring you to watch different types of exotic woods. Your adventure will continue with the canoe on the beach which is only 15 minutes from the savanna. In this beach, you can sunbathe while enjoying the quiet beauty of the Java Sea, or trek through beautiful white sand.

After enjoying the nature in Baluran National Park, we will be back to the town of Banyuwangi for going back to Hotel and take our bags then we will drive to Ketapang Ferry Port then take a ferry to reach Gilimanuk Ferry Port at the most western tip of Bali Island. Upon arrival in Gilmanuk Ferry port, we will escort you to your hotel in Bali (Lovina, Pemuteran, Ubud, Denpasar, Kuta, Canggu, or Jimbaran). TOUR’S SERVICES FINISHED
