WHAT MAKES THIS TOUR INTERESTING?

The tour is designed based on our client requests, so many clients have requested the tour to Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater which includes white water rafting in between. So finally we made an itinerary that includes it. However, we have to inform you that this trip is quite challenging and pretty adventurous for some points, so you should be ready for it. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The temperature at Mount Bromo approximately is about +10 to +13 degrees during sunrise time and it will be colder when it’s windy. We highly recommend you think about your own comfort in advance.

The things that you should bring during the trip:

a pair of good walkable shoes; trekking shoes, running shoes, hiking shoes
Warm clothes (long pants, scarf, jacket, some type of hoody)
a raincoat and wet tissues (you can buy during our stops at gas stations or minimart)
a cap or a hat
a small backpack to carry items up the volcano;
a personal ID card (or copy)
Tripod and more battery (when you need it)
Wetsuit for white water rafting

DAY 1: SURABAYA - ACCOMMODATION IN MOUNT BROMO AREA

The first day of the tour, we will pick you up at the Surabaya area, it could be Airport, Hotel or Train Station. This is a private tour so the pick up time and address will be flexible and we will follow your schedule. From Surabaya town will take 3-4 hours till reaching your accommodation in Bromo area.

Note: If you want to start the trip from Malang town, it will be possible too.

DAY 2: MOUNT BROMO SUNRISE TOUR - MADAKARIPURA WATERFALL- ACCOMMODATION IN PROBOLINGGO TOWN

On the second day of the trip, we will be starting at about 3 am. We will ride a jeep for about 40M-1H to Bromo View Point (King Kong Hill). From here, you will see the beautiful panorama of Mount Bromo and the surrounding during the sunrise.

The sun will rise at about 5:30 am, so you will be having time to get a hot coffee or tea at the local shops in King Kong Hill. At about 5:15 am, people, will get out of the shops and get their own standing spot to enjoy and take a photo of the Sunrise and also the view of Mount Bromo. You will have time until 6:30 am here before we do trekking to the peak of Mount Bromo.

After enjoying the sunrise and the view from King Kong hill, we will be back in our jeep and go to the sea of sand before we trek to the peak of Mount Bromo.

The trekking to Mount Bromo will take about 45 minutes walking, it’s quite sandy and dusty in the dry season, make sure you have a mask to cover your nose and also sunglasses. Upon your arrival at the peak of Mount Bromo, you will see a hole of fire that spews sulfuric smoke and also loud sound. Mount Bromo is an active volcano, so it spews smoke from its hole and it can erupt anytime. So we cannot stay longer at the peak of Mount Bromo. At about 8:30 am, we will be back to our jeep and then go to the hotel for having breakfast and clean up.

At about 11 am, we will check out from our hotel and drive for about an hour to reach our next destination. That is Madakaripura Waterfall. Madakaripura waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in East Java is about 200 m in height.

Upon your arrival at the parking place of the waterfall, we will be taking a motorbike taxi for about 10 minutes then 15 minutes walk by the riverside, and also we will pass a small waterfall before the big waterfall. So, please make sure you have the proper shoes, slippers, wetsuits, and wet bags with you.

After enjoying the waterfall, we will go to the Probolinggo area to stay overnight before we do rafting tomorrow morning. From the waterfall to the Probolinggo area will take about 45 minutes.

DAY 3: WHITE WATER RAFTING - ACCOMMODATION NEAR MOUNT IJEN AREA (BANYUWANGI TOWN)

After having breakfast at about 7 am, we will drive about an hour to reach the Rafting place and upon your arrival at the Rafting place, you will be welcomed by the local guide there that is ready to give you some information about what you can and cannot do during the Rafting activity.

The Rafting will take about 3-4 hours, so make sure you are ready enough to do these. Because the currents here are quite strong but the view of the surrounding is nice but it’s challenging.

After the rafting activity, you will get a warm tea or coffee and a local lunch menu. When everything is done here, we will go to our next destination which is Banyuwangi Town (Ijen Crater area, it will take about 5 hours.

DAY 4: IJEN BLUE FIRE TRIP - TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL IN BALI AREA

On the last day of the trip, we will start at 00:30 am to go to Ijen Crater. The journey from Bayuwangi town will take an hour - 1H30M by car. Then we will be arrived in Paltuding for preparing our gear and stretching our bodies before walking about 2 hours up to the volcano.

The path is quite easy for the first kilometer but the second, third and last path to go down to the Blue Fire point is quite rocky and slippery, So we require you to always listen to our Tour Guide.

Upon your arrival at Blue Fire point, you must always keep the gas mask on because the smoke from this volcano is very smelly like rotten eggs, and dangerous if you inhaled it too much, so keep away from this smoke. You will have time about 30 minutes to capture the Blue Fire.

Afterward, we will go up to the top of the Volcano to wait for the Sunrise and also to capture the turquoise lake of Ijen Crater.

About 7 am, we will go back down to the parking place and then drive back to our accommodation for having breakfast and cleaning up.

About 10:30 am, we will escort you to Ketapang Ferry Port to take a ferry for 1H20M to reach Gilimanuk Harbor (Bali Side), upon your arrival there, our Balinese driver will be ready to escort you to your hotel in Bali (please let us know earlier where will be your address in Bali)
